The key to good bridesmaid shoes is to have the right measure of style and comfort. The pair you put on should be a sight to behold whether you are making your way down the aisle, being photographed or on the dance floor at the reception, yet not leave your feet in pain once the festivities are over.
Be it an elegant heel or dainty sandal, a chic flat or a block heel that is easy to wear in, there is no shortage of ways to go with your bridesmaid dresses. As with any wedding shoes, one should give some thought to the venue, the length of the dress and how much time will be spent standing.
We have made a list of the finest bridesmaid shoes for all styles, settings and budgets below. You will want to find a pair you can enjoy well beyond the wedding day.
The Annie Heel in Champagne is a minimalist strappy sandal with a metallic faux-leather upper, slanted square toe and an ankle-buckle to close it. With a padded insole and a slim 3.5-inch stiletto, it has a clean, unobtrusive air about it, which is why one can make the transition from desk to dance floor in it. The brand has even featured it in its 2025 bridal campaign.
With a 3.5” stiletto and round toe, the Steve Madden Santi is a fine example of a sleek sandal for going out. The glossy patent comes in such shades as Black, Aperol Pearl and Light Bronze Pearl. We find the cushioned, arch-supported footbed particularly comfy for evening wear. One drawback is that the upper is not leather but man-made. And if you have wider feet, we recommend taking half a size up.
This strappy sandal is the brand’s attempt at a dressy heel you can wear all night, which fits a label that started in 1927 by shaping shoes around the natural foot. It has barely-there straps, a modern square toe and a sculpted 3.125" block heel, and it comes in black, caramel and pewter snake faux leather. The Contour+ footbed adds padding and spreads pressure, and it seems to work. We even kept it on through an entire wedding when we’d usually have taken our heels off before the end. The straps can feel tight, though, and the heel is a bit high, so if you have wide feet or prefer a lower heel, try them on before the big event.
Designed for the bridesmaid who would rather be polished than wobble her way through a lengthy reception, the Sally is an apt choice. An open toe of soft blue silk tied in a fine knot is complemented by a solid 2-inch block heel and double ankle straps for security. Inside are Bella Belle’s “12-hour” insoles with their characteristic padding. Every pair is hand-cut, sewn, and lasted. The brand has amassed a following in over 90 countries and put shoes on Adele for the “Oh My God” video. All in all, the Sally is well suited to a blue bridal party and can easily serve as the bride’s “something blue.”
Put out for spring weddings in March 2026, the Becca is true to Bella Belle’s “Prettiest 12-Hour Shoes” pledge. The nude, pointed-toe of silk and mesh is adorned with 3D fabric flowers in blue, blush and lilac to give the shoe the air of a small spring garden. A 3.25-inch heel is manageable and the slingback straps are adjustable while the insoles of padded leather are pillow-soft, seeing one through from the ceremony to the final dance. They are pricier than the run-of-the-mill bridesmaid shoe, but the pastel petals provide an effortless “something blue,” and the style is fine enough for garden parties well beyond the wedding day.
The Hazel has for over a decade been the pump of choice for those in search of a classic stiletto that will not leave blisters. The 3.75-inch heel and low vamp serve to elongate the leg, while a padded sock makes it a comfortable affair for the ceremony, the photo session and the first hour on the dance floor. Its durability is such that the workwear site Corporette has put it in its “Workwear Hall of Fame.” With some 30 colors and finishes to choose from, bridesmaids can suit any palette: nude or blush suede with a pastel chiffon gown, metallic gold or silver to go with a satin slip dress at an evening reception, or black patent and jewel-tone velvet with navy, emerald or burgundy for a fall or winter wedding.
This Olivia Mid-Heel is the kind of bridesmaid shoe you will put to use again. Although this shoe isn’t technically a true mule, from the front, it does look a lot like a mule, and overall, it is a chic mule-like shoe. And with an adjustable ankle strap, you can wear this comfortably through long nights of dancing. The block heel is about 2 inches, and the upper is a fine knotted affair in metallic champagne Italian nappa leather. We can vouch for the comfort and say it is true to size.
The soft shimmer of the champagne color will look great with a neutral or satin and chiffon dress in blush, sage, or dusty blue. Later on, you can also wear this with a white eyelet sundress, and as the brand would have it, or some well-tailored trousers.
With its 3.5-inch block heel, lower platform and buckled ankle strap, the Fleur Platform Sandal from Sam Edelman has the stature of a statement piece but with considerably less wobble. A useful distinction for one who will be standing at the altar and on the dance floor all night. The sandal is offered in a range of finishes such as Amber Gold leather, French Merlot patent, Brown Mushroom velvet and Black suede to fit in with the bridal party’s color scheme. The gold is a fine complement to champagne, sage or blush satin; the merlot patent is right for a burgundy or jewel-toned autumn affair; and the velvet or black suede are more in keeping with a moody, black-tie ensemble. It is also a shoe that can be put to use with a slip dress or wide-leg pants well past the wedding day. It's among the most comfortable we have worn, if one aside about it being a touch too broad for narrow feet is to be believed.
A bridesmaid shoe that is more dressy in appearance than in feel, the FEMME LA Maeve Slipper is made with a satin upper and knotted straps. The slip-on has an almond toe and open back, as well as a satin footbed and a 2.5-inch heel low enough to be steady for the duration of a long ceremony and reception. This piece is from a Los Angeles label put together by Janis Tello; they are vegan in their materials and use packaging that is entirely biodegradable. It is one of the brands celebrity stylist Maeve Reilly puts on her clients. It pairs well with a silky slip or cowl-necked gown in champagne, terracotta, sage, rust or chocolate for a fall wedding. For those with another palette in mind, there are also options in Champagne, Satin Black, Plum and Nocturnal Blue Satin.
With its 3.4-inch architectural heel, a single peep-toe strap and recycled foam padding underfoot, Dolce Vita’s Rosha in camel suede is a no-fuss heel for the bridal party. The slide-on style is drawn to it for the warm camel suede, which has a way of softening the aesthetic at a fall or rustic boho wedding. It pairs nicely with an earthy palette of sage, terracotta, rust, dusty blue and champagne for the bridesmaids, be they in maxi or midi dresses or wide-leg satin trousers. Comfort and a true-to-size fit are what have earned it high praise from shoppers, some of whom have made a second purchase in another hue. The Rosha can also be had in brown suede or Metallic Gold.
With the Bailey Double Band Slip-On Dress Sandal, Donna Karan New York is paying homage to where it all began. In 1985 Karan put forth her “Seven Easy Pieces” capsule with a bodysuit, skirt, tailored jacket, dress, a leather item, white shirt and cashmere sweater. The brand has gone back to that kind of minimalism in its 2024 relaunch by G-III Apparel Group. This sandal is no exception: on a square toe are two thin leather bands, a 3.5-inch stiletto and a cushioned insole. We find it to be elegant and true to size as well as comfortable. For a black-tie wedding or an emerald, navy or burgundy jewel-tone dress, the Black Leather version is the sleek option. If the occasion is a rustic or boho affair in the fall, Light Brown and Canyon Brown will do nicely with sage, terracotta, dusty rose or champagne. There is no ankle strap, so the shoe is more suited to the ceremony and pictures than for dancing into the night.
For the one pair of shoes to put your money on for the wedding party, there is the Jane sandal from Christian Louboutin. You will be wearing it long after the wedding is over. The Italian-made piece is of a smooth lambskin in a soft pale-pink Blush and has an adjustable ankle strap by way of support. At 2.25 inches or 55mm, the block heel is far more manageable than a stiletto for a lengthy ceremony, some photos on the lawn, or hours of dancing. And then you have the red on the underside to give more interest to the shoe. The Blush color is suited to blush, champagne, mauve, sage and dusty-blue schemes. A midi or tea-length satin slip or chiffon dress will show it off to best effect with the ankle strap on display.
An understated elegance is what the Ankis Ankle Strap Chunky Heel Sandals add to a bridesmaid’s attire, and as an Amazon purchase, they are easy on the budget. With a 2.75-inch block heel, cushioned footbed and an ankle strap that can be adjusted, these sandals are as practical as they are stylish for a wedding day ceremony or reception. The open-toe design is unobtrusive and looks fine with a flowing chiffon or satin slip dress, not to mention a romantic floral midi. Neutral tones in champagne or nude are the most versatile of the lot.
